CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS: WORK ON PAPER
DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSIONS: NOVEMBER 14, 2012

OPENING RECEPTION: December 7, 5:00-8:00PM during First Friday Art Walk
DESCRIPTION: SPACE Gallery is seeking submissions for a juried group exhibition of works on paper in the main gallery.
ELIGIBILITY: 2D works on paper will be juried for selection for exhibition.
SUBMISSION FORMAT: Artists may submit up to ten images. Each submission must be individually labeled with artist’s name, title, medium, dimensions, year and price. Please e-mail submissions to nat@space538.org in JPEG, TIFF or PDF format. Each image should not exceed 2 MB. Submissions will not be considered unless this criterion is met. There is no entry fee.
ACCEPTED WORK: Submissions will be reviewed and selected after November 14, with notification of acceptance by November 21. Works that are accepted need to be dropped off to SPACE Gallery ready to hang or include specific instructions for installation. Artists who need to ship their accepted work will be responsible for shipping costs to SPACE Gallery and will need to coordinate with the gallery manager. Shipped work must arrive at the gallery on or before November 30. Work will be shipped back to the artist at the end of the exhibition.
ABOUT THE GALLERY: SPACE Gallery is a non-profit contemporary arts venue in downtown Portland, ME. This exhibition will be in the main gallery, which houses a stage, a bar and an exhibition space. Exhibiting artists should consider the nature of a multi-use space before submitting work.
