Upstairs from SPACE you’ll find a print studio called Pickwick Independent Press, where Portland artist Kyle Bryant works on his woodcut prints. He participated in last year’s Block Party, using the steamroller to print large woodcuts on fabric.
The Portland Museum of Art has purchased one of these prints for their collection.
Later in the fall, he answered a call for work issued by Cannonball Press, and was invited to submit two woodblocks. These prints will be featured in the show at SPACE that opens tomorrow night, called Burn the Lot: Splinter Heads, Nut Mobs & Ballyhoo.
