We’re gliding gently toward ol’ Valentine’s Day this weekend, so brush your teeth and wash your socks, romance is in the air. But as we’ve all likely learned at this point, love can be a complicated thing.
This Thursday, February 12th we’ll be screening the documentary film In A Dream, which follows the life and work of Isaiah Zagar, an artist who over the past several decades has covered 50,000+ square feet of Philadelphia with intricate mosaics that detail his relationship with his wife, Julia, and the growth of their family. Made by Isaiah’s son, Jeremiah, the film looks beyond the work to examine what happens when mental illness threatens the bonds of love and how the Zagar family rebuilds itself in it’s wake.
Shortlisted for an Oscar for best feature documentary, if you enjoyed last year’s film Surfwise, we think you’ll like In A Dream.
