Pandemic Protocol for the Fall of 2021

Please note the updated 2022 pandemic policies on our Visit Page.

We had a fabulous time this summer presenting live arts, film, community conversations, and events outdoors. It was an honor to engage a series of special places, ranging from our neighbors at Congress Square Park, to unexpected landscapes far away from our Congress Street home, like Popham Beach State Park.

Starting in October 2021, SPACE will be moving indoors for events, after over a year and a half of closure of our live event venue. We cannot wait to welcome you back, and like all live arts venues, things will look a little different.

Until further notice, SPACE requires that all audience members and artists for fall indoor shows are fully vaccinated for the COVID virus. A digital or physical copy of your vaccine card can be presented at the door at the time of the show. Medical exemptions can be accommodated with a negative COVID test within 24 hours of the show date. Masks are required.

For more information please email info@space538.org.

Masks are required indoors; we ask those partaking in concessions to please only remove their masks in order to eat/drink and re-mask promptly.

Currently, SPACE’s 538 venue will be capped at 2/3rds capacity. We will have limited concessions offerings to foster a safer work environment for our staff.

Thank you for respecting our needs for safety during this time; our walls will be happy to hear live music, film dialogue, and event chatter once again.
