Once again, the Hometown Heroes series at SPACE Gallery was a great moment in local music. The 48 Hour Music Fest on Saturday was an experiment that brought together musicians from all corners of the Portland scene, pairing them up in new combinations and challenging these temporary bands to prepare full sets of music in just two days.
It was an amazing sold out night. See an extensive gallery of photos after the jump, featuring the bands The Ways Of Man, Mexicutioner, Snack Island, Prism Camp, Knocked Up By Wolves, and Vicious Blow…

Thanks so much to Leif, who put together an unforgettable event. Expect to see and hear more from this incredible night (and more…) in the future. And who knows, maybe we’ll even see some of these bands show up again, if we’re lucky.
