Mihku Paul (@riverdaughter58) is a Wolastoqey poet and interdisciplinary artist who grew up on a wild Maine river. Her family hails from Kingsclear First Nation, N.B. Canada. Mihku has spent decades working in Portland Public Schools on enrichment curriculum for Waponahki Studies.
Recent work includes Love Letter for a Wild Maine River (Sebago Lake Storytelling Project – forthcoming documentary), Msi-te ktahkomiq kintaqot (Whitman on Walls) and an experimental film collaboration with filmmaker Dawn Nye, Putep Qotatokot-te Elewestaq (The Whale was Speaking). Mihku lives and works in Portland.
