WOW. Another packed house (what’s that, five in a row?) at SPACE! This time for Sara Hallie Richardson and the plaid-clad Spencer & the School Spirit Mafia. Spencer knows how to throw a party, so for his new band’s first headlining show (other projects include Rustic Overtones and As Fast As) he and his 10 person band lugged couches into the audience and set up for what might be the most intimate performance ever at SPACE.
As much as the headliners were highly anticipated, plenty of people filled the room for Sara’s CD release party so i suggest you go and pick up her new album – you wont be disappointed! I also hear she’s moving/already moved to New York so if you live in that area keep an eye out for her! We hope she comes back to Portland very soon!
Spencer is working hard on a new album, which should be out sometime in the Spring, and if this show is any indication of how the album will sound, then we’re sure to be in for a treat!
If you didn’t catch it before, check out the video Spencer and Sara made for this event! (Video Not Available)
