Vikesh Kapoor + John Shade Tonight! Video Previews.

The last time we saw Vikesh Kapoor here, he was playing a brief opening set for AA Bondy. Now he’s back with a headlining slot, supported by Wesley Hartley and the Traveling Trees (who also shared the bill last time around) and John Shade.

In case you missed out on Vikesh last time, here’s a quick overview: Start with that free download we told you about and then watch these two videos (one takes place on a pleasant stroll through a field, the other at the Sidewalk Cafe in NYC):

“Bird in the Sun” by Vikesh Kapoor from Addison Post on Vimeo.

Wondering about this John Shade character? Start with his exceptional new album, All You Love Is Need (listen/download here). It’s the new stage name of Dave Godowsky, and we hear he’ll be bringing a string section for the show. Something like this, perhaps?

I sure hope so. Tea Party Boston provides a bit of background, in a roundabout sort of way. For a preview, tune into Stay Tuned Radio on WSCA 106.1 FM in Portsmouth at 4pm, as John Shade will be on the air to talk about his album and tonight’s show.

Bonus video: John Shade’s debut performance at the Music Hall Of Williamsburg back in January, with Bon Iver’s Justin Vernon on drums!

You may have seen this already, but for the few who aren’t already aware of the delights of Wesley Hartley And The Traveling Trees, check out this video (from an early performance of this developing group):

You can still get tickets for this show online here.
