How long have you lived in Portland (or Maine)?
Twelve years or so.
When did you start playing music?
At age 25.
Who do you perform with normally?
Plains, anti-friend hut.
Other than SPACE Gallery, what is one of your favorite venues in Portland?
The dooryard, Strange Maine, Awful Annie’s.
Who is your favorite Portland musician or group, other than
yourself or those you normally perform with?
I like Visitations, Dark Hollow Bottling Co., Royal Hammer, and a bunch of others..
What are your musical plans for 2009?
Crank Sturgeon and I are working on some kind of crazy hoopla for the Bonnarroo music festival this June.

Scott Peterson is a musician who we don’t get to see playing shows very often, so this Saturday is sure to be a treat.
How long have you lived in Maine?
My whole life, brother.
When did you start playing music?
Started writing songs about 10 years ago, on piano.
Who do you perform with normally?
I play usually in living rooms or on boats, or in the woods, with Moses Atwood and other friendly folk.
Other than SPACE, what is one of your favorite venues in Portland?
The streets, and the green pastures of the eastern prominade.
Who is your favorite Portland musician or group, other than yourself or those you perform with?
My favorite Portland-area musicians are Chriss, Caleb, Colleen, Tom, and Micah – the infamous Fire on Fire team.
How are you tackling the challenge of performing this material alone, when you usually perform it with others?
I haven’t performed really at all in the last year, so performing at all will be fun. But I got a new guitar in california – a flamenco with a pickup, so that’ll be a kick.
What are your musical plans for 2009?
2009 musical plans are to record a new album with Moses on dobro and Greg Donahue, on the upright.
