One part live show, one part music video shoot— local r&b starlet Angelikah Fahray and her ‘So Serious’ band perform in the round, surrounded by cameras and you— for a special live concert film. Limited seating— early purchase encouraged! Black and white business attire recommended.

“Angelikah Fahray’s Serious Life” is a new music video event with a live audience featuring the alternative R&B prowess of the emerging local songwriter. The concert will showcase a window into the world of Angelikah— through her storytelling, nuanced instrumentals, and intoxicatingly powerful, serpentine vocal delivery for which she’s widely recognized. The set will be a sneak peak into the songs of Angelikah’s forthcoming debut album.

Supporting Angelikah is her “So Serious” band featuring producer and co-writer Billy Giordano on bass, keyboards and synths, DJ Matt Perry on samples and beats, Jordan Bicki on guitar, and Mesa Schubeck on piano/keyboard. Joining the band for the first time are backing vocalists Alfine Nathalie and Ikhlaygia T’Zainah.

Opening the night is Portland electro-dreamweaver Just Milk.

Audience note: This is both a concert and a video shoot, so much of the audience will be on camera! Angelikah asks audience members come in black and white business attire— in juxtaposition to the lyrical depth and soundscapes exploring subjects of self-betrayal, introspection and playful fantasy. By attending you are consenting to be filmed; if you would prefer not to be filmed, there will be places to sit and stand outside of the cameras. Please ask our staff on site.

A Sonic Visions Fund commission, made possible by the Onion Foundation.
