Local luminaries light up the stage with bits of shimmery shoegaze, angular melody, kinetic rock, and classic songcraft.
Little Oso is a dreampop band from Portland, Maine. They blend layers of sparkly guitar sounds with shimmering vocals and upbeat tempos to make you want to dance or get under a blanket… or dance under a blanket. Their most recent EP Happy Songs commemorates summertime nostalgia and can be streamed most places.
Golden Rules the Thumb is an indie rock band and recording collective founded in 2017 by singer/songwriter Tyler Jackson (Upper Narrows, Foam Castles) and drummer Jonas Eule (Wake In Fright, Endless Jags). With a live band rounded out by Derek Gierhan (bass), Peet Chamberlain (keys, guitar) and Greg Bazinet (guitar), Golden Rules brings to life the recorded sound David Pence (WMPG’s Radio Junk Drawer) describes as “…both warm and bright, [with] simple and dynamic structures, melodic hooks, and restrained playing.”
Big Trash is the guitar-song project of Elisabeth Fuchsia, usually a violist who backs up folks like Ned Collette & Bonnie Prince Billy.
