In 2023 alone, SPACE Gallery worked with 1226 artists on our programs, exhibitions, art studios, creative residencies, and regranting program. You can activate our nonprofit mission of arts, artists, and ideas with a charitable donation. SPACE membership signals your shared investment in nourishing a vibrant Maine, elevating artistic voices, and building creative community.
Our nonprofit organization welcomes donations of any size; special perks come with a full membership (6 months/student starting at $25/year, full year memberships starting at $50/year). Gift memberships are available. We gladly accept checks issued to SPACE Gallery and mailed to 538 Congress Street, Portland, ME 04101, or dropped off/purchased at one of our programs.
Champion Our Mission with a Larger Gift
Beginning at tax-deductible gifts of $250, our Insight Members and major donors build art futures in Maine by creating low-barrier access to the arts, championing artistic communities in Maine, and dedicating resources to the next wave of ideas. With your support we can strengthen our facilities while making meaningful jobs and opportunities in the cultural sector.

You can be a donor without cash! In-kind donations make a huge difference and support our programs, production capacity, and artist hospitality. To donate your gently used technology, furniture, equipment, or products that you or your business produce, kindly send us photos or a pitch. We deeply appreciate it.
What will your legacy be? Planned gifts can be made through bequests, naming SPACE as the beneficiary of a retirement plans or life insurance, or having a living will that generously leaves securities, assets or real estate to our nonprofit organization. SPACE Gallery is a 501(c)(3) public charity, all donations to SPACE are tax deductible. SPACE’s EIN Tax ID number is 51-0432635. We currently hold a Guidestar/Candid Platinum Seal of Transparency for nonprofit reporting in finances, structures, programs, capacity, and impact.

To make a donation or renew your membership, online donations can be made through our Pay Pal (above or at funds@space538.org), Venmo (@SPACE-gallery), or via check. We can also process donations in person at an event, gallery hours, or by appointment.
